Memento Mori delves into the representational conflict that photography presents and its influence on human memory. Keeping the shuuter open for the shortest amount of time it takes the human brain to record visual information, the resulting images question the accuracy of photography as an absolute index of evidence.

Drawing from the traditions of pictorial and documentary photography, thesse images are ethnographic excavations of personal history and a failed attempt to reconcile my familial history. These serve as personal mementos—descriptions of facts that become hazy, degrading even further every time a memory is recalled.
